Chocolate Coconut Bars
Often called 7 layer bars, this recipe is from Martha Stewart. They were great!
Ingredients
3 cups finely ground cookies (grahams or chocolate wafers)
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly splash a 15 by 10 rimmed baking sheet with water, then line with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, stir together cookie crumbs, sugar and butter. Evenly press onto bottom and up sides of baking sheet. Bake, rotating halfway through, until firm, about 8-10 minutes. Cool for about 20 minutes.
Sprinkle cooled crust evenly with butterscotch and chocolate chips. Pour condensed milk over the top, spreading to cover completely. Sprinkle with coconut.
Bake until coconut is toasted, 10 to 15 minutes. Let cool completely and cut into bars.
